Tamara Carol (Nygaard) Freitag

Tami (Nygaard) Freitag, 52, passed away on August 3, 2017 at her home in Fargo, North Dakota. Tami Carol Nygaard was born to Gene and Carol (Eckhoff) Nygaard on September 25, 1964 in Wadena, MN. She was raised in Erhard, MN. Confirmed and baptized in the Lutheran faith. Tami graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1983. She married Joe Freitag on June 4, 1983 at Trinity Lutheran Church Fergus Falls, MN. Together they raised 4 children, Tara, Travis, Jared and Jamie in Fargo, ND. She had daycare in her home for 22 years. Tami also worked at Hornbachers in Fargo. She currently worked at Corwins in Fargo, ND. She enjoyed playing bingo. She enjoyed camping when the children were younger. She enjoyed spending time with friends at the downtown V.F.W.   She loved being with her children and grandchildren. Tami will be missed by her beloved dogs: Sassy, Snickers and Lady.                                               Tamara is survived by her daughter: Tara (Freitag) Westman and her special friend Kyle Anderson, Tara’s children: D.J., Alex, Joey, all of Fargo, ND, son, Travis Freitag of Fargo, son, Jared Freitag of Fargo, and daughter, Jamie Freitag of Fargo; parents: Gene and Carol Nygaard, Erhard; brother, Tom (Lisa) Nygaard of Henning; two nieces: Jenna Nygaard & Megan (Alex) Jensen; also by her special friend, Randy Mulder. Tamara was preceded in death by her sister, Tara Sue; grandparents: Albert and Charlotte Eckhoff & Robert and Esther Nygaard.     Funeral: 10:00 a.m. - Monday, August 7, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church, Erhard, MN Visitation: 5:00 -7:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, August 6, 2017 at Grace Lutheran Church in Erhard, MN Pastor: Rev.
