Steven Dennis

Steven Alfred Dennis, age 69 of Pelican Rapids, MN was born April 15, 1956, in Rollette, ND was sent to his eternal home on January 10, 2026, at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, ND, due to complications from Leukemia. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all who know and love him.

Steve, as he was affectionately known, was an extraordinary human being. His passing has left a huge hole in the hearts of his family and many friends. We ask that you remember him not for the tragic way his life ended, but for the way he lived it. Steve had a profound impact on the lives of those who had the pleasure to know him.

After Steve’s graduation from high school in 1974 from Pelican Rapids High School, he held various types of sales and service jobs. At various times in his life, he worked for Mac’s Surplus, ServiceMaster, and Home Depot. He also founded and operated a surplus sales store that he fondly named Screamen Steve’s.

Outside of the various jobs that he held, Steve enjoyed traveling, games of chance, watching sports, fishing, and hunting. Steve loved family gatherings with his loving family. His family is so grateful that he was able to participate in a Christmas gathering a few weeks before his death. Steve also owned numerous pets during his life. At the time of his death, the joy of his life were his two puppies Bella and Zena. As per Steve’s wishes his puppies will be lovingly cared for by his brother.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Joyce Dennis; brother Michael Dennis; sister-in-law Faye Dennis; sister Judy Pederson and brother-in-law Lyle Pederson.

Steve is survived by his brother Charles (Marsha) Dennis; Aunt Marlys Beguhn; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

There are no words to express how grateful we are to the family and friends who sat with Steve during the several days in the ICU prior to his passing.

Although Steve’s physical presence may no longer be felt, his beautiful spirit will continue to inspire and uplift us. May his memory be a blessing and may we continue to carry in our hearts the love and compassion that he had for his family and many friends.

Celebration of Life service will be conducted in honor of Steve on Saturday, February 7th, 2026 at Larson Funeral and Cremation Service of Pelican Rapids beginning with a visitation at 11am and formal services starting at 12pm. A time of food and fellowship will immediately follow, with Steve's inurnment taking place at Ringsaker Cemetery after lunch.
