Renee Eileen Solmon

Renee Eleen Ishaug was born in Pelican Rapids to Jewell and Betty (Stephenson) Ishaug on June 5, 1954. She died Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at Riverfront of Main under the care of Hospice. Renee grew up on the family farm west on Pelican Rapids and graduated from Pelican Rapids High School with the class of 1972. After graduation Renee went to Dakota Business College in Fargo. Renee was a waitress, bartender and secretary/receptionist during her work years.

Renee married Timothy Solmon on November 24, 2000. Renee is survived by her husband, Tim of Pelican Rapids, daughter Melissa (Don) McDougall, Detroit Lakes, son Matt (Heather) Jenison, Barnesville, eight grandchildren McKenzie, Jadyn, Carson, Jameson, Ella McDougall, Alex Jenison, Brooke (Nic) Johnson, & Morgan Jenison, and brother Kelly Ishaug, Bloomington, nephew Ryan and niece Jennifer. Renee is preceded in death by her parents Jewell & Betty Ishaug and sister-in-law Jean Ishaug.

Private Family Graveside Service will be held at North Immanuel Cemetery.
