Paulette Jean Stone

July 25, 1956 — March 10, 2026

Moorhead, formerly of Pelican Rapids

Paulette Jean Stone, 69, of Moorhead, Minnesota, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2026, surrounded by her family at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota.

She was born on July 25, 1956, in Fargo, North Dakota, to Dale Davis and Helen Bruce-Hauer.

Paulette married Harlan Brent Stone on September 29, 1988, and together they made their home in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, where they raised their children.

Throughout her life, Paulette enjoyed connecting with people through her work. She spent many years at the Round Up in Fargo, ND, Stone’s Group Home and Cash N Dash. She later dedicated 13 wonderful years to Pelican Valley Health Center, where she found tremendous joy in caring for residents and bringing laughter, comfort, and a sense of belonging to everyone she met.

Paulette loved spending time with and talking about her beloved “grandbabies”: Joren, Jovi, Tanya, Pepper, Cullen, and Breeze, with another grandbaby arriving in June 2026. She enjoyed puzzle games like Scrabble, word searches, and Bingo. Paulette also had a deep love for cooking, specially making her cozy, comforting soups for family and friends.

If you met Paulette, you knew her humor and spunky personality. When asked how she was doing, she would often reply with her signature phrase, “Spiffer Wiffers.” Her sisters affectionately knew her as “Shorty” or “The Great One.” Paulette had a special way of making everyone feel welcome and cared for, and that is how her family, friends, children, and grandchildren will remember her.

Paulette is survived by her children: Jacy (Jim) Stone, Colton (Louise) Stone, Berkley Pajari, Charles Taylor, and Summer Dorr. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Joren, Jovi, Tanya, Pepper, Cullen, Breeze, and Baby Stone. She leaves behind her loving and spirited sisters: Peggy (Jim) Jacobson, Marsha Maxwell, Susan (Paul) Marshell, Debra (Jerry) Becket, and Pam (Hugo) Boj-Rivas; as well as lifelong friends Leah and Gary Deschene and Charlette Rock and many nieces and nephews.

Paulette was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband Harlan; her parents, Dale and Helen; her younger brother, Lonnie Davis; several brother-in-law’s; and other beloved family members.
