Marie C Dalman

Marie C. Dalman, age 88, of Pelican Rapids, MN, died November 29, 2017 at Pelican Valley Care Center. Marie C. Humbert was born May 25, 1929 in Ogema, MN the daughter of Christopher and Elizabeth (Tibodeau) Humbert. She attended country school near Ogema.  Marie married Floyd Dalman and they lived in Dunn Township where they were blessed with three children.  Marie raised her three children while assisting Floyd on the farm.  During Marie’s life she worked at various jobs such as working at West Central Turkey Plant in Pelican Rapids, cleaning cabins, lawn care, and providing daycare for grandchildren.  Many people will remember Marie for selling raspberries and strawberries.  Floyd died on May 14, 2012. Marie enjoyed gardening, tending to her flower beds, and quilting with Zion Lutheran Church ladies.  She loved the Minnesota Twins and watched them whenever she had the opportunity.  Marie was a member of Zion Lutheran Church on Franklin Lake and served on various boards and ladies aids.  She was part of the group that stripped and stained all the church pews for the 100th anniversary. She is survived by her sons: Robert (Gloria Erickson) Dalman, Pelican Rapids; Randy (Pamela) Dalman, Pelican Rapids; daughter Norma (Elmer) Wald, Pelican Rapids; 7 grandchildren: Steven (Cassie) Dalman, Matthew (Tracy) Dalman, Mike (Sam) Dalman, Nathan Dalman, Jonathan Dalman, Jason (Michelle) Wald, and Jessica (Jason) Fahje; 2 step-grandchildren: Shane and Dawn Wiedewitsch;15 great-grandchildren: Ellie, Sam, Zach, Tristan, Tianna, Molly, Sophie, Greyson, Logan, Ian, Colin, Avery, Jaxon, Winsdae, and Micah; sister Joyce Hill, Peoria, IL; brother Lawrence (Evelyn) Humbert, Fergus Falls, MN; and many nieces and nephews. ­­­­She is preceded in death by her husband Floyd; parents Christopher and Elizabeth Humbert; 2 brothers: LeRoy Humbert and Kenneth (Donna) Humbert; 2 sisters: Delores (Robert) Cookman and Helene (Marvin) Silk Visitation: Monday, December 4, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church on Franklin Lake, rural Pelican Rapids, MN.  Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 4, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church on Franklin Lake, rural Pelican Rapids, Minnesota.
