June 25, 1940 — October 11, 2020

Bruce Darrel Jorgenson was born on June 25, 1940 to Oscar and Rose (Thompson) Jorgenson and grew up on the family's homestead in the hills just southeast of Erhard. He was baptized and confirmed at Bagstevold Lutheran Church in Erhard. Darrel attended District 17 country school and was a 1958 graduate of Pelican Rapids High School. On October 31, 1959, he married his sweetheart, Barbara (Nelson) and together they raised their 3 children, Randy, Tamara and Darren. Darrel worked for Park Region Oil Co-op for over 40 years and was a familiar face around town. He was well known for his gift to gab as well as his kindness and generosity. Family meant the world to him and his children and grandchildren were his pride and joy. Over the years, he spent countless hours attending their ball games and events and was their biggest fan and supporter. His beautiful yard and gardens were his labor of love and he meticulously cared for his 15 acres on Arbor Hill. On October 11, 2020, Darrel quietly passed away at Pelican Valley Senior Living. He was under the care of their dedicated, caring staff for the past year and a half and recently Red River Valley Hospice. Darrel is survived by his wife of nearly 61 years, Barbara; his children, Randy (Miki), Tamara, and Darren (Wendy); his beloved 5 grandchildren, Elyse, Dylan, Mara, Meg and Ben; brothers, Wallace (Marion) and Stanley; sister, Marilyn; brother-in-law Jerry Regstad and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dennis and his wife Linda; nephew, Bruce; and sister-in-law Wanda. Til vi møtes igjen. No funeral services are planned at this time.
