Albert Orvial Jones, Jr.

Albert Jones, Jr., age 58, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 20, 2026, at his residence in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota.

Albert Orvial Jones was born on February 6, 1968, in Billings, Montana to Albert and Marjorie (McComb) Jones, Sr.

Al's life ended exactly as he lived it - outside, fishing in Maplewood State Park with his son Trevor. The outdoors was his home. He moved through life with the spirit of a 20-year-old, convinced nothing could slow him down. Hiking, fishing, camping - those weren't just hobbies for Al, they were the way he connected with the world and the people he loved.

Al was selfless, loving, and the kind of person everyone needs in their life. He had a gift for brightening your day, making you laugh, and reminding you what really matters. As a brother, dad, and papa, he was the best anyone could ever ask for. We were blessed to have him - truly blessed - because God gave us exactly the right one.

He left us too soon, but we are endlessly grateful for the time we had. His presence shaped our lives, and his memory will continue to guide us. Al lived with joy, gave with his whole heart, and loved without hesitation. And that's how we will remember and honor him.

He lived with the understanding that true faith is shown not only through belief, but through the way we treat others—with humility, compassion, perseverance, and love.

Albert is survived by Sheillby-Rea Lynn Smith- her kids: Christina, Hannah, Christophor, Temperence, Emalee, Jaramiah; Ashley Dawn Smith- her kids: Natalya, Paige, Sereniti, Zhara, Aries; Winter Marie Jones (Kirkendall) her kids: Arabella, Salinah, Jaxon, Eleanor; Trevor Alan Jones; brothers/sisters: Monty Jones, Debbie Love, Tina Young, Dwight Welch, Darold Love; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents Harry and Joan Hecht, Albert and Marjorie Jones Sr., brothers Rodney Love, Myron Jones and Rodney Love, sister Lissa Love, grandson William Davidson.
