Adeline (Egierski) Zinda Otto, age 95, of Pelican Rapids, MN, died Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Pelican Valley Care Center.Adeline was born September 21, 1922 in South Bend, Indiana, to John and Helen (Urbanski) Egierski. She was baptized, had First Communion, and was confirmed at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church.  She attended school at St. Hedwig’s Parochial and High School. While living in South Bend, she worked at Wilson Brother’s shirt factory during WWII. They made Army shirts for servicemen.  Adeline was a supervisor. On October 19, 1946 Adeline became the bride of Roy J. Zinda Sr. They were married at St. Hedwig’s Catholic Church in South Bend, Indiana. Adeline was a homemaker and also worked as a Dietary Aid at the Divine Providence Hospital. She was a Rosary Promoter at St. Peter and Paul parish for over 35 years.  She was a member of the rosary society at St. Peter and Paul in Ivanhoe and also Wilno.  She was a volunteer worker at the Divine Providence Nursing Home.  She was also a member of the Hospital Auxiliary and VFW Auxiliary. On September 3, 1977 she married Harry Otto. She became the stepmother to Harry’s children:  Tony (Sharon) Otto, John Otto, Thomas Otto, Mary (Dick) Barnes, Patty (Rick) Nau, Sister Rita Marie, Michael (Caroline) Otto, and Bill (Connie) Otto plus many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Adeline enjoyed people, no one was a stranger and she would always make your day brighter. She also enjoyed sports (Especially Notre Dame and the Twins), dancing, golfing, bowling, traveling, hand work, ceramics, and visiting with her children and friends. She is survived by her three children: Roy J (Bernadine) Zinda Jr. of Walshville, IL; Cindy (Dennis) Pullen of Pelican Rapids, MN; and Mary (Terrance) Ochocki of Forrest Lake, MN; six grandchildren: Corey (Wendy) Zinda and Scott (Amy) Zinda, Danielle Ochocki and John (Kristin) Ochocki, Alicia (Mike) Flatin and Brooke (Chris) Berg; ten great-grandchildren; sister Delores Lootens, Lakeland, Florida; brother Jerry (Gloria) Egierski, Granger, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands: Roy J. Zinda Sr. and Harry Otto; sisters: Irene and Catherine; brothers: Walter, Stanley, George, and John Jr. Memorial Mass: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, December 30, 2017, at St. Leonard Catholic Church, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota. A memorial gathering will be one hour prior to the mass at the church.
