REMEMBERING THE LIFE OF...Grace May Motz was born April 25, 1920, in Pelican Rapids, MN, the daughter of Fred and Grace (Bolam) Motz. Grace attended country school District #73 near Rothsay, MN. On April 30, 1941 Grace was united in marriage to John Van Cleef at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Elizabeth, MN. John and Grace farmed together until 1966 when they moved into Pelican Rapids. Grace was employed at West Central Turkeys, Inc. for many years, and also cleaned at the Pelican Supper Club for about 20 years. In June of 2004 she entered the Good Samaritan Center.Grace enjoyed gardening, reading, and her many pets. She especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Grace was a member of St. Leonard?s Catholic Church and the ladies circle. She will be remembered for her devoted prayer life.Grace, age 86, a resident of Pelican Rapids, MN, died on Thursday, September 28, 2006, at the Good Samaritan Center in Pelican Rapids.Grace is survived by her husband: John of Pelican Rapids; 6 children: Robert (Pam) Van Cleef of Mc Allen, Texas, Hank (Angie) Van Cleef of Pelican Rapids, Gerry (Dick) Carter of Alexandria, MN, Moureen (Charles) Grunewald of Golden Valley, MN, Joanne (Ron) Sherbrooke of Lake Park, MN, and Johneen Van Cleef of Kent, MN; 32 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother: Howard Motz of Pelican Rapids.She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Kathleen Wischnack; 2 grandchildren: Rhonda Bartsch and Benjamin Kenyon; 2 brothers: Dan Motz and Fred Motz; and 4 sisters: Freda Senn, Helen Juvrud, Gladys Dale, and Rose Marie Peterson.Blessed Be The Memory Of Grace Van Cleef
