REMEMBERING THE LIFE OF...Troy Allan Schultz was born March 16, 1973, in Detroit Lakes, MN, the son of Jim and Pearl (Grossman) Schultz. Troy grew up in rural Pelican Rapids, graduating from Pelican Rapids High School in 1991. Throughout his high school years, Troy worked at the Rapids Cafe in Pelican Rapids. Shortly after graduation he joined the United States Air Force as a medical technician, EMT. Troy had been stationed in Illinois, Arizona, Texas, and currently serving his second tour in South Korea. He had been deployed to Cuba in 1995 for the Haitian/Cuban crisis, and to Iraq twice.Troy enjoyed any type of outdoor activity, whether it be camping, sports or working. He also enjoyed reading, surfing the web, and watching mystery shows. Troy was a life member of V.F.W. Post #5252 in Pelican Rapids.Staff Sgt. Troy Schultz, age 33, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died near Pelican Rapids on Thursday, November 2, 2006, while on leave from military duty at an Air Force base in South Korea.Troy is survived by his parents: Jim and Pearl Schultz of rural Pelican Rapids; grandparents: Merle and Lillian Grossman of Pelican Rapids, and Lester and Ruth Schultz of Ottertail, MN; girlfriend, Ashley; 2 brothers: Earl (Shelly) Schultz of Pelican Rapids, and David Schultz of Prescott, Wisconsin; sister, Keresa Schultz of Fergus Falls, MN; niece and nephew: Trinity and Keisen Wick; numerous aunts and uncles; many cousins; and lots of friends.He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents: Earl and Florence Grossman, Walter and Katherine Beckman, Albert and Christina Schultz, John and Elsie Schlapkohl; and 2 uncles: Albert (Butch) Schultz and Robert Marquardt.Blessed Be The Memory Of Troy Schultz
