Winifred Bell

Winifred Lucille Bergstrom was born April 14, 1915, in Pennock, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Hilda (Clarquist) Bergstrom. On June 19, 1915 she was baptized in Pennock. Winifred and her family lived in Willmar, MN, where she was confirmed as a teenager. She graduated from Edison High School in Minneapolis, MN. On December 11, 1937 Winifred was united in marriage to Alexander Bell in South Dakota. For 25 years Winifred worked for the Anoka Hennepin School District as head cook. Alexander died on July 18, 1981. Winifred lived with her son, James and family, for 3 years before entering the Good Samaritan Center in October of 2006.Winifred was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fridley, MN, for 40 years, and Faith Lutheran Church of Pelican Rapids for 6 years. She was active in the church circles. Winifred was also active in the senior centers. She enjoyed baking for family and friends.Winifred, age 92, passed away on Friday, May 25, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Center in Pelican Rapids.Winifred is survived by her 2 sons: John (Judith) Bell of Albany, New York, and James (Cecile) Bell of Pelican Rapids; 8 grandchildren: Brent (Beth) Bell, Ryan Bell, Laura Bell, Eric (Laura) Bell, Adam (Jessica) Bell, James Bell Jr., Holly Bell, and Sunny Bell, 3 great-grandchildren: James Ryan Bell, Holden Dennis Bell and Emily Elizabeth Bell; a sister, Katherine Hanson of Minneapolis; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; 3 brothers: Ralph, Kenton and Ray Bergstrom; and a sister, Mildred Gosselin. Blessed Be The Memory Of Winifred Bell
