Gerhard "Ike" Isaksen

Gerhard was born on November 1, 1912, in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, one of four children to Ole and Alvina Isaacson. When Ike was 8 years old, his father passed away and due to his death, the children were separated and grew up with different families. Ike grew up in Lake Park, Minnesota. Later in life, he worked as a farm laborer in the Wadena - Deer Creek area. From the 1980's to April 2003, Ike resided at the Golden Age Living in Bluffton, MN, and from April 2003 to October 2003, at the Care Cottage in Wadena, MN. On October 15, 2003 he entered the Good Samaritan Center in Pelican Rapids.Ike will be remembered as a gentle, quiet man.Ike, age 94, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2007, at the Good Samaritan Center in Pelican Rapids.He is survived by a brother, Alvin of Pelican Rapids.He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters: Ida Lund and Olga Villalpando.Blessed Be The Memory of Gerhard "Ike" Isaksen
