Mary C Eells

Mary C. McCormick was born November 3, 1922 to Martin and Jeannette McCormick of Dilworth, MN. Mary earned her RN diploma at Trinity Hospital School of Nursing, Jamestown, North Dakota on February 9, 1946. She was married to Donald E. Eells on September 22, 1946.Mary enjoyed baking, golfing, gardening, embroidery, travel, and collecting seashells on the beach in Florida. She and Donald raised their family in Arlington Heights, IL. Upon retirement they lived on Lake Lida near Pelican Rapids, MN and Pompano Beach, FL.Mary, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, August 7, 2007, at the Eventide Lutheran Home in Moorhead, Minnesota.She is bereaved by four children, Mary Jane (Dr. Darrell) Leier, Hoyt Lakes, MN, Catherine E. (Walter) Ward, Devon, PA, Earl T. Eells, Ogden, UT, and Ann C. Eells, Napa, CA. She leaves behind her sister, Jeanette Barone, Moorhead, MN; three grandchildren: Melissa (Gad) Nestel, Michelle Leier, Thomas (Catherine) Leier; two step-grandchildren: Mary Ward, Matthew (Allison) Ward; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband, Donald, and sister, Patricia Duva.Memorials are preferred to St. Leonard's Catholic Church.
