Alton "Tony" Jacobson, age 64, a resident of rural Vergas, Minnesota, died on Tuesday, October 9, 2007 while residing at Sunnyside Care Center in Lake Park, Minnesota.Alton Wallace Jacobson was born August 13, 1943, in Detroit Lakes, MN, the son of Hjalmer and Ida (Solin) Jacobson. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in rural Pelican Rapids, and attended Pelican Rapids High School. On August 17, 1964 Tony was united in marriage to Beverly Rohde in Detroit Lakes. He was employed with Becker Sand and Gravel in Detroit Lakes before he went into carpentry. He was employed as a union carpenter with several construction companies in the Fargo and surrounding areas, but most of his career he was employed with TF Powers Construction Company of Fargo.Tony loved spending time with his grandsons and enjoyed telling stories. Tony also enjoyed woodworking, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, and the Carpenters Local Union in Fargo.Tony is survived by his wife: Beverly Jacobson of rural Vergas, MN; son, Jeffrey and friend, Wade Renquist of Las Vegas, Nevada; 2 daughters: Kata (Tom Hosler) Jacobson of Seattle, Washington, and Michelle (Bradley Billett) Weber of Detroit Lakes; 3 grandchildren: Joshua Weber, Hans Hosler and Brock Billett; 7 sisters: Vivian Cabral of Foresthill, California; Viola Oien of Detroit Lakes; Donna Austen of Vergas; Judy Madison of Vergas; Jane (Mike) Stokes of Auburn, Washington; Barbara (Tony Esparza) Jacobson of San Jose, California; and Sandee Heubsch of Detroit Lakes; 2 brothers: Gerald Jacobson of Vergas, and DuVane (Sharon Tarnowski) Jacobson of Detroit Lakes; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; 3 sisters: Velma Sleen, Verda Baker and Marian Mockey; and 2 infant siblings.Blessed Be The Memory Of Alton "Tony" Jacobson
