Marion Waller

Marion B. Jorgenson was born August 6, 1925 in Erhard, MN, the daughter of Bennie and Olina (Gilbertson) Jorgenson.She was baptized at Tonseth Lutheran Church and confirmed at Bagstevold Lutheran Church, both in Erhard.In 1943 Marion graduated from Fergus Falls High School.After moving to Pelican Rapids she worked for Anderson Grocery Store for 5 years.On April 14, 1947 Marion was united in marriage to John (Petie) Waller, Sr. in Pelican Rapids.Petie and Marion farmed east of Pelican Rapids until 1983 when they moved into town.In 1983 Marion started to work at Karens Korner for 13 years.Petie died in June of 1997.Marion was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, and Circle.She was active in 4-H, East Side Farmers Club, and Homemakers.Marion enjoyed hardanger, rosemaling, knitting, and baking.Marions family was very important to her and she will be remembered for doting on her grandchildren.Marion, age 83, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died on Sunday, February 15, 2009 at the Pelican Valley Nursing Home in Pelican Rapids.She is survived by her 3 children: John E. Waller, Jr. of Pelican Rapids, Connie (John) Wood of Detroit Lakes, MN, and Peter H. (Lisa) Waller of Pelican Rapids, MN; 6 grandchildren: John E. Waller III, Charles S. (Paula) Waller, Emily (Aaron) Guest, Jessica McQueen, Zachary Waller and Ashley Waller; 3 great-grandchildren: Samantha, Madison, and Tyler; 2 sisters: LaVerne Satter of Pelican Rapids and Helen Salness of Moorhead, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Petie; 3 brothers: Burton Jorgenson, Oscar Jorgenson and Harry Jorgenson; 5 sisters: Olga Irey, Jo Buck, Alma Ogren, Edna Satter, and Evelyn Knowles.BLESSED BE THE MEMORY OF MARION WALLER
