Dell Jorgenson, age 75, a resident of Erhard, Minnesota, died Friday, October 30, 2009, at Pelican Valley Nursing Home in Pelican Rapids.Dell Jorgenson was born October 28, 1934, in Erhard, Minnesota, the son of Harry and Hazelle (Foster) Jorgenson.He was baptized at Bagstevold Lutheran Church and confirmed at Maplewood Lutheran Church, rural Erhard.Dell graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1952.He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 1956.On May 18, 1957, he was united in marriage to Ardis Zimmerman at Bagstevold Lutheran Church in Erhard.Dell and Ardis farmed in Maplewood Township until 1999.The summers of 2000-2005, Dell worked for Lakes Area Docks and Lifts, Pelican Rapids.On February 15, 2007, Dell entered the Pelican Valley Nursing Home.Dell was active in church, school board (district #1470), Maplewood Parkers 4-H, National Farmers Organization and Otter Tail County Pork Producers.He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting.Dell is survived by his wife, Ardis; five children:Joan (Olaf) Bommen, Moorhead, MN, Jean Maaske, Brainerd, MN, Jay Jorgenson, Ramsey, NJ, Joel Jorgenson, Fargo, ND, and Janet (Mark) Hirchcliffe, Roseville, MN; mother, Hazelle Jorgenson, Pelican Rapids, MN; ten grandchildren:Lindy Bommen, Max Bommen, Julie (Scott) McDonald, Matt Maaske, Nate Maaske, Nick Maaske, Philemon Jorgenson, Stephen Jorgenson, Adam Jorgenson and Linnea Jorgenson; three great-grandchildren:Payton Scherber, Callie Novak, Mason Collins; one brother, Dean (Delores) Jorgenson, Willow City, TX; three sisters:Pat Holdeman, Erhard, MN, Becky (David) Cusey, Moorhead, MN, Cyndy Kolle, Wahpeton, ND; brother-in-law, Steve (Lynnette) Zimmerman, Pelican Rapids, MN; sister-in-law, LaVerne Johnson, Plymouth, MN; and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his father, Harry; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Irene Zimmerman, infant sister, Sharon; brothers-in-law:Clayton Holdeman, Jim Kolle, Zane Johnson; and nephew, Tim Holdeman.Blessed Be The Memory Of Dell Jorgenson
