Lillian Resset, age 90, a resident of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, formerly of Pelican Rapids, died on Thursday, January 14, 2010, at Pioneer Retirement Community in Fergus Falls.Lillian Violet Nelson was born June 4, 1919, at home in Tansem Township, near Barnesville, Minnesota,the daughter of Julius and Annette (Hanson) Nelson.She was baptized and confirmed at West North Immanuel Church.Lillian attended country school District #12 near Barnesville.On October 30, 1945, Lillian married Gilman Resset.They made their home in Pelican Rapids.Gilman preceded Lillian in death in July of 2001.Lillian moved to the Mill Pond Apartments in 2004.In June of 2009, she moved to Pioneer Retirement Community in Fergus Falls, where she participated in many of their activities.Lillian was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in ladies aid and quilting.She was also a member of the ladies V.F.W. Auxiliary and she was a volunteer at the Good Samaritan Center in Pelican Rapids.Lillian enjoyed being at the lake, playing the organ and piano, and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Lillian is survived by her three children: Dennis (Nancy) Resset, Omaha, NE, Renee (Allen) Stadum, Erhard, MN, and Lynn (Mark Hebner) Smith, Corpus Christi, TX; six grandchildren:Dustin, Ashle, Jared, Daryl (Eleanor), Darcie (Joe), and Brandi; five great-grandchildren:Hunter, Tanner, Brady, Avery, and Gracie; two brothers:Elmer (Eunice) Nelson, Pelican Rapids, MN, and Robert Nelson, West Fargo, ND; sister-in-law, Harriet Nelson, Missoula, MT; and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Julius and Annette; her husband, Gilman; six brothers:William, James, Alben, Rueben, Lawrence, and infant brother, James; five sisters:Gilma Nelson, Selma Wee, Clara Julsrud, Evelyn Ness, and Ruby Hagen.Blessed Be The Memory Of Lillian Resset
