Bill Smith, age 66, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Pelican Valley Nursing Home in Pelican Rapids. Bill Raymond Smith was born August 7, 1943, in Lex, West Virginia, the son of Frank and Callie (Anglin) Smith.He grew up and attended school in Lex.From 1960-1963, Bill was stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army.Bill was united in marriage to Jerilyn Hemmer in Warsaw, Indiana, in 1965.He held various jobs in Warsaw.Bill enjoyed traveling and living on the streets.He moved to the Veterans Home in Lisbon, North Dakota, in 2006.Bill entered Pelican Valley Nursing Home in November of 2008.Bill enjoyed playing guitar and harmonica.Bill is survived by his siblings:Robert O. Smith, Warsaw, IN, Frances E. (Wallace) Correll, Warsaw, IN, and Sherry (Jerome) Kemper, Fargo, ND; nephews:Robert O. Smith II and Brian Kemper; niece, Laura (Brian) Sokolofsky; and great nieces and nephews:Jack Seabold, Ellie Sokolofsky, and October Reanne Kemper.He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Callie; and brothers, John and Jim.Memorials are preferred to the Salvation Army.Blessed Be The Memory Of Bill SmithB
