Marie Nessa

Marie Nessa, age 95, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota died Saturday, February 04, 2012 at her home in Pelican Rapids.Marie was born April 5, 1916 near Rollag, Minnesota, the daughter of Adolph and Minnie (Hall) Paulson. She attended country school near Cormorant, Minnesota. On August 24, 1938 Marie was united in marriage with William Nessa. They moved to Montana in 1942 and returned to Pelican Rapids in 1945. Marie worked at the turkey manufacturing plant and the Pelican Valley Nursing Home as a certified nursing assistant for many years. Bill died on August 10, 1995. Marie enjoyed reading and playing cards with her sisters.She is survived by three sons: Kenneth Nessa, Bloomington, MN, Robert Nessa, Pelican Rapids, and James Nessa, Ashtabula, OH; two grandchildren: Laura Nessa, Moorhead, and Anne Marie Nessa, Ashtabula, OH; two sisters: Margaret (Sammy) Braton, Rollag, MN, and Betty Tollerud, Pelican Rapids; and many nieces and nephews.Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill; daughter-in-law, Marion Nessa; sisters Florence Hanson, Ruth Doherty, Doris Godwin; and Irene Lambert; brothers; Melvin Paulson and Donald Paulson.Visitation: one hour prior to the service at the funeral homeService: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Larson Funeral Home in Pelican RapidsFuneral Home:Larson Funeral Home304 3rd Street S.E.Pelican Rapids, MNUS 56572
