Sonja Ann Pearson

Sonja Pearson, age 69, a resident of Pelican Rapids, MN, died on Friday, March 22, 2013, at her residence. Sonja Ann Pearson was born on August 8, 1943 in Wheatland, ND, the daughter of Glenn and Olga (Tyrlick) Knutson. She graduated from Casselton High School in 1962. Sonja worked at the Red Owl Grocery Store in Fargo. Then she attended and graduated from Interstate Business College in bookkeeping. On October 8, 1966 Sonja was united in marriage with Robert Pearson. In 1973 Sonja and Robert moved to Pelican Rapids. In 1976 she was employed with Sand's Electric as a bookkeeper. From 1981 to 2012 Sonja owned and operated Pelican Floral in Pelican Rapids. Robert died in 1988. Sonja enjoyed reading, gardening, raising outdoor flowers, especially tulips, watching main street activities, baking and cooking. The most important part of her life was spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Anita Pearson (Michael Sonmor), Pelican Rapids; son, Jeff Pearson (Tom Helms), Phoenix, Arizona; grandchildren; Michelle Pearson, Fargo, ND, T.J. Johnson, Pelican Rapids, Brandon Pearson, Pelican Rapids, Jessica Pearson, Pelican Rapids; special friends, Bob Hamilton, Sun City, AZ, and Vicki Koplin, Pelican Rapids..Sonja was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; and her parents.Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the church.Service: 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Grove Lake Lutheran Church, Rural Pelican Rapids, MNClergy: Pastor Jeff McCrackenFuneral Home: Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, Minnesota
