William Thomas Matykiewicz

William Thomas Matykiewicz, age 75, died on Friday, July 5, 2013, at his residence in rural Pelican Rapids, MN. William Thomas Matykiewicz was born March 6, 1938 at the family home in St. Paul, MN the son of Leo and Martha (Jambor) Matykiewicz. He attended school up to the 8th grade. He was united in marriage to Rosalee Linddstrom on February 3, 1963. William worked for many people on the south side of St. Paul doing odd jobs. Then he worked for a clothing factory in St. Paul before he started to work for West Publishing Company until his retirement in 2000. After retirement he moved to his residence on Olaf Lake where he enjoyed fishing, making his own flies, watching John Wayne movies and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by two sons: James (Danita) Matykiewicz of Pelican Rapids, MN, Richard (Laura) Matykiewicz, of New York Mills, MN, two daughters: Christine (Robert) Link of Fergus Falls, MN, Judith Lancaster, of Frazee, MN, grandchildren: Jesse, Sarah, Raymond, Ronald, Dwight, Lee, Adam, Latessa, Annette, Ashlea, great grandchildren: Drayden, Fathe, Joseph, and Jaxson. William was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Victor, Steve, Tony, and sister Marion. A Celebration of his Life will be held at Noon, Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at his residence on Lake Olaf.
