Roger Gorden

Roger Allen Gorden, age 59, a resident of Keewatin, formerly of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died on January 27, 2014, at Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND. Roger Gorden was born May 5, 1954, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, to Stanley and Myrtle (Mostue) Gorden. He was baptized in Nashwauk. Roger attended Greenway High School in Coleraine, MN graduating in 1973. From 1973 to 1976 Roger served in the US Army serving in Korea. After his military duty Roger moved to Pelican Rapids working for West Central Turkeys Inc. from 1981 to 2003. On December 18, 1982, Roger was united in marriage with Lisa Wilkinson and to this union one daughter, Natasha, was born. Roger and Lisa were divorced in 1989. In 2003 Roger moved to Keewatin. Recently Roger returned to Pelican Rapids moving in with his daughter to spend time with his family.Roger enjoyed fishing and listening & singing to various types of music. He will be remembered for having a good sense of humor. Roger is survived by his daughter Natasha ( Aaron) Isaman, Pelican Rapids, MN; granddaughters: Julie Holte, Chelsie, Kylie and Abbie Isaman; mother: Myrtle Gorden, Keewatin, MN; brothers: Dwayne Gorden, Moose Lake, MN, Rick Gorden, Keewatin, MN, Dale Gorden, Keewatin, MN, and a sister Bonnie (Vern) Syverson, Keewatin, MN; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.Roger is preceded in death by his father, Stanley, brother, Allen Gorden and sister, Connie Herschbach.Visitation: Friday, January 31, 2014, 5:00-7:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, MN and resumes one hour prior to the service at the church.Service: 2:00p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2014, at Tonseth Lutheran Church, Erhard, MNClergy: Rev.
