Beatrice Elizabeth Morken

Beatrice Elizabeth Pherson was born April 23, 1918 daughter of Alex and Bertha Pherson in Moorhead, MN. On November 7, 1940, Beatrice and Alvin Morken were united in marriage in Glydon, MN. They farmed in the Moorhead and Perley areas. Then in 1963 they moved to St. Paul, MN where Beatrice worked at a manufacturing business. In 1972 Beatrice and Alvin moved to Pelican Rapids where she worked at Surs Caf and Rapids Caf. Alvin died on August 21, 1985 in Fergus Falls, MN.Beatrice was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Pelican Rapids. She enjoyed quilting and hand tied over 300 quilts for children in Romania.Beatrice Elizabeth Morken, 95, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died Monday, March 31, 2014, at Riverfront on Main in Pelican Rapids.
