Dennis Benhart Seidell

Dennis Benhart Seidell, age 77, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died October 8, 2014, at his residence.Dennis Benhart Seidell was born February 10, 1937, in Pelican Rapids, the son of Benhart and Gladys (Olson) Seidell. Dennis was baptized and confirmed at Grove Lake Lutheran Church in rural Pelican Rapids. He graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1955. Dennis serviced in the United States Army from July 23, 1962, until September 18, 1964, being stationed in Germany for 18 months.On June 21, 1975, Dennis was united in marriage to Helen Martinson at Grace Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. Dennis farmed his land, and worked for AMPI Creamery of Pelican Rapids for 45 years, then retiring in November of 2000.Dennis truly enjoyed farming, loving to drive tractor and watching things grow. He enjoyed traveling while in the service and speaking Norwegian with local friends and neighbors. He was active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids.Dennis is survived by his wife, Helen Seidell, son, Harlen Seidell, of Pelican Rapids, brother, Robert (Carolyn) Seidel of Fairmont, MN, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends.Preceding him in death are his parents, Benhart and Gladys Seidell, brother, David Seidell and his in-laws, William and Ovidia Martinson. Visitation: Friday, October 10, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, MN.
