Cameron Haga

Cameron Haga, age 51, a resident of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota, died on Monday, February 16, 2015 at his home in Pelican Rapids. Cameron Harold Haga was born September 24, 1963 in Fergus Falls, Minnesota the son of Leonard and Angeline (Sayers) Haga. He graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1982. Cameron worked with his father operating their house painting business and also grave digging business until his father's death in 1995. For eight years Cameron worked for Ballard Sanitation in Pelican Rapids. He also worked in the turkey industry, most of that time for Gorton Turkey Farms. Cameron worked until 2010 when he had to retire due to having open heart surgery. Since 1977 Cameron was the scorekeeper for Pelican Rapids High School boys' basketball team.Cameron was a devoted fan of all kinds of high school and college sports. He enjoyed basketball, football, and baseball, especially the Minnesota Twins. His main interest was following Pelican Rapids High School basketball and football. He was known for remembering games and statistics from years ago. He also enjoyed watching other Minnesota high school basketball games throughout the state.Cameron is survived by his brother, Gary Haga, Pelican Rapids; sister, Susanne Haga, Dent; stepbrothers: Mike Olson, Paris, Ohio and Matthew Olson, Fargo, ND; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.Cameron is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: John Martin, Gimos Martin, and Vincent Martin.Visitation: Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, MN.
