Earl J Borah

Earl J. Borah, age 64, of Pelican Rapids, MN, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family and Hospice of the Red River Valley.Earl Jennings Borah was born July 2, 1951 in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Jennings Eldon Borah and Theron Ardette Bisson. He grew up near Frazee and graduated high school there in 1969. He then served his country in the US Army from 1971 to 1973 and was stationed in Panama. He drove truck for over 43 years including flatbed, reefer, grain hauling, and found a love for car hauling the past 20 years. Earl was united in marriage to Arlys Leann Grahn on November 21, 1980 at Sisseton, SD. They made their home in rural Pelican Rapids where they raised their family. He enjoyed woodworking where he built many things including wishing wells, stools, and doll houses. Earl was a proud American who had a love for fish tanks, fireworks, and the outdoors, growing large gardens and giant pumpkins. His special times in his life were being with his wife, children and grandchildren.Earl is survived by his wife Arlys, six children: Brandie (Rick) Hanson, Rothsay, Clayton (Jennifer) Borah, Apple Valley, CA, Amie (Kurt) Welch, Fergus Falls, MN, Krystal (Brandon Larson) Borah, Audubon, MN, "Cassie" (Josh Altenhof) Borah, Fergus Falls, MN, "Connie" (Joe Cooper) Borah, Fergus Falls, MN, six grandchildren: Kallie Hanson, Emma Borah, Blake Borah, Bryn Welch, Payton Welch, Elijah Borah, step grandchildren: Justin Leitheiser, Danielle Leitheiser, Tanner Lybeck, Dante Carlson, mother Ardette Bisson, White Earth, MN, step mother Margaret Borah, Tucson, AZ, brothers Floyd (Cyndi) Borah, Detroit Lakes, Wade (Karen) Borah, Ogema, MN, sister Susan (Wayne) Hanks, White Earth, MN, step brother Martin Breitzman, Detroit Lakes, MN, step sisters Anita Breitzman, Azusa, CA, Deborah (Rudy) Garcia, Tucson, AZ, and several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Jennings Borah, brother Kevin Borah, and sister Elizabeth Ott. Visitation: Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m.at Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids, MN.
