Rick J. Loerzel, age 44, of Pelican Rapids, MN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 19, at Essentia Health in Fargo, North Dakota.Rick J. Loerzel was born August 9, 1971 in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Paul and Mary Ann Loerzel of Perham, MN. He graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1989. He was married to Irina Greben on February 23, 2006, and together they have a daughter, Hannah Mary Ann.A co-owner of the Tesoro Convenience Store in Pelican Rapids, Rick was an active community member, and proudly served as a past member of Pelican Volunteer Fire Department. He always had a great interest in cars, and took pride in driving his '76 Caddy with his beloved daughter, Hannah.Rick is survived by his parents, Paul and Mary Ann, Perham, MN; his daughter, Hannah Mary Ann, Pelican Rapids; brothers: Scott (Bonnie) Loerzel, Perham, Luke Loerzel, Pelican Rapids, and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his brother, Mark in 2009.Visitation: Thursday, January 21, 2016, from 4:00 7:00 p.m. with a private family service at 7:00 p.m., at Larson Funeral Home, Pelican Rapids.Burial: St Henry's Catholic Cemetery, Perham, MN.Clergy: Father Jeff EthenFuneral Home: Larson Funeral Home 304 3rd Street S.E.
