Mardella "Mardy" Martin

Mardella (Mardy) E. Martin passed away; September 23, 2016. Mardy was born on the family farm near Ellendale, ND on November 10, 1928.Mardy was united in marriage to Richard B. Gabe in 1949 until his death in 1954. In 1957 Mardy married George Martin and moved to Pelican Lake in 1961.As the Office Manager/"HUB" for Martin Engineering Company, Chief Flower Director at Petal Pusher Garden Center and official record keeper of the ice out dates for Pelican Lake until her death, she will be greatly missed.Mardy had a passion for a good bridge game, crossword puzzles (in ink) and RED flowers with a splash of white.Mardy and George traveled the world; with her favorite country being Thailand, but Pelican Lake was her love and the most beautiful of all.Mardy is survived by Richard (Rachael) Gabe, Jack Martin (Jane), Paula Skaalrud, Julie Martin and Dorothea (Michael) Haugrud, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.Mardy was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Paula Wedell, brothers Derril and Warren Wedell and husbands Richard B. Gabe and George A.
