Roxanne Meland

Roxanne Meland, age 61, died Sunday, December 4, 2016 at her home in Pelican Rapids.Roxanne Marie was born in Fergus Falls, July 9, 1955 to Emery and Elizabeth (Ecker) Wiese. She attended school in Fergus Falls. On May 7, 1975 Roxanne was united in marriage to Blake Meland at Augustana Lutheran Church in Elizabeth, MN. Her passion for softball, crocheting, tatting, macram, hunting, fishing, and gardening is what kept her busy most of the time, and she loved more than anything, spending time with her family. She worked at West Central Turkeys for over 20 years, until the debilitating effects of Tinnitus took over her life, on February 12, 2003. She will be so sadly missed by her family.Roxanne is survived by her loving family: husband Blake Meland; daughter Dana (Scott) Hendricks, son Wayne Meland, and son Mike (Cassie Trousil) Meland; mom Elizabeth (Darwin Braaten) Wiese; brother Bradley (Janelle) Wiese; sister Sheralyn (Hans Quiram) Emery; grandchildren: Daryan and Shayla Hendricks, Kacee Meland, Harper Roush, Calley Trousil and many nieces, one nephew, great nieces and two great nephews.Preceding her in death is her father, Emery Wiese; brother Gordon Wiese, brother Tony Wiese, and infant brother Allan Wiese.The family of Roxanne wants you to know that if you or someone you know threatens suicide, talks about wanting to die, shows changes in behavior, appears depressed, sad or withdrawn, you can help.
