Jade Petznick
Funeral Director / Manager
Jade Petznick was born and raised in Northwood, Iowa. He attended the North Iowa Area Community College and later Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. In 1992 he graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and worked for funeral homes in Cincinnati and in Mason City, Iowa.
In 1994 Jade moved to Pelican Rapids where he continues to serve the community as the Manager of Larson Funeral Home.
In 1998 Jade married Lisa Haugrud and they have three sons, Matt, Logan and Brady. They reside on Tamarac Lake near Pelican Rapids.
Jade is a member of Grove Lake Lutheran Church and presently serving as president. He is also a member of the Pelican Rapids Jaycees, formerly serving as president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer.
Jade enjoys spending time with his 3 sons, especially outdoor activities. He also enjoys snowmobiling. |

Cindy Hoyer
Office Manager / Pre-Arrangement Coordinator
Cindy was born in Des Moines, Iowa and raised in Eagan, Minnesota. She graduated from Burnsville High School and the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. While earning her degree she also was a member of the Gopher's Women's Gymnastics Team.
Cindy lived in St. Paul and worked Downtown Minneapolis until her move in 2000 to Pelican Rapids. She has worked in a variety of professions in the course of her career. With her position at Larson Funeral Home, Cindy is able to utilize her customer service, management and office skills. Also with her license from the State of Minnesota, Cindy is able to assist families wishing to pre-arrange their funerals.
In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, working on projects around her home and gardening. |

Milo Larson
Funeral Director / Past Owner
Milo D. Larson was born and raised in Alexandria, Minnesota. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and later attended the University of Minnesota, where he graduated with his degree in Mortuary Science. He worked with Ivers Funeral Home in Fargo, North Dakota and in 1963 partnered with Paul Korsmo at Korsmo Funeral Service in Moorhead, Minnesota.
In 1970 Milo and his wife, Marjorie purchased Johnson Funeral Home in Pelican Rapids, which he owned and operated until 1995. Milo continues to be active at Larson Funeral Home on a part-time basis.
Milo now enjoys fishing, boating, golfing and caring of his flowers and lawn at their home on Lake Lizzie. The couple spends their winters in Florida where Milo enjoys golf, boating in the Gulf and playing tennis.
Milo was an active member of the Rotary Club in Pelican Rapids for many years, a member of the American Legion for 52 years, also a member of the Fergus Falls Elks Club and the Detroit Lakes Eagles Club. He and his wife, Marjorie are members of Faith Lutheran Church in Pelican Rapids. |

Marjorie Larson
Former Owner / Funeral Assistant
Marjorie Larson was born in Iowa and raised on a farm near Litchville, N.D. She attended Interstate Business College in Fargo. She was married to Milo Larson in Fargo and they lived in Moorhead until 1970 when they moved to Pelican Rapids, MN. She became an active partner with her husband after her children reached school age. She and her husband Milo have three children and three grandchildren. They spend their winters in Florida where she enjoys playing tennis and shelling. She continues to help at Larson Funeral Home during the summer months. |

Richard Carlson
Funeral Assistant
Richard lives on a farm west of Erhard with his wife, Alice. They are the parents of four children and have ten grandchildren. Richard owned and operated a dairy farm until 1998, when he began raising beef cattle. He continues to grain farm and began with Larson Funeral Home in 2000. His hobbies include music (especially playing guitar and singing with his grandchildren); family camping, horseback riding, photography, watching movies, and keeping rainfall records.
Richard is a member of Central Lutheran Church of rural Pelican Rapids.

Richard Rollie
Funeral Assistant
Richard Rollie was born and raised in Pelican Rapids. He attended school at Pelican Rapids and graduated from Pelican Rapids High School. He worked at Park Region Oil Company, and Johnson’s Furniture and Funeral Home. In 1975 Richard bought Johnson Richards Flooring, which he owned and operated until 1997. He served on the Pelican Rapids Fire Department for 25 years, of which he was chief for 3 years. Richard is a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church and has served in many leadership rolls. Richard and his wife, Verona, continue to make their home in Pelican Rapids.
Richard has worked with Larson Funeral Home since 2007. |
